POSITION: Post Production Editor

REPORTS TO: On-Air Promotion Manager
ROLE: Act as Tag & Bag Editor for Tribune Creative Group, Eastern US with responsibility for editing on-air episodic promotions. Electronically deliver localized promotional spots to Tribune facilities across the US. Additional responsibility for producing on-air and off-channel creative services projects as needed. This position will be located in Hartford at CT1 Media - home of FOX CT (WTIC - TV), The CT (WCCT - TV), The Hartford Courant, The Hartford Advocate, The New Haven Advocate, Fairfield County Weekly's and Valumail.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Edit and tag episodic promotional spots provided by the network or syndicator for local broadcast for stations within the Tribune Broadcasting group
- Quality Control spots for accuracy and ensure spot delivery to the local station through the tribune data network
- Daily communication with station personnel at other Tribune facilities to determine and deliver promotion needs
- Other responsibilities as required
- Degree in Film, Video Production or Communications preferred
- Experience in broadcast television master control operations a plus
- Non-linear editing experience on a Mac based system using Final Cut Pro
- Knowledge of video codecs and file format transcoding
- Superior organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple projects on tight deadlines, without compromising creative integrity
