Weather
Work side-by-side w/Meteorologist in Weather Ctr. Observe forecasting process, help create weather graphics for newscasts, assist meteorologists by running weather graphics system as needed, answer viewer questions and other duties as assigned. Hours will vary: Mornings and late nights may be required.
Sports
Primarily logging games and helping in the selection of the nightly highlights. Other news-gathering duties will be taught and performed if time allows.

Creative Services (Marketing/Communications)
Help plan and run events, update the website, write press releases, put together contests. Administrative duties: Update contact lists, assemble student news packets and mailings, coordinate talent appearances, assist in guerilla marketing efforts, sort PSAs. Assist in other marketing, PR and promotion projects as they arise.

Creative Services (On-Air)
Emphasis will be on-air promotion. Work directly with a team to produce promotional spots for News, entertainment, contests and our websites. Intern will be exposed to a creative, high-volume work environment which specializes in writing and editing spots which air on Fox 61 and WTXX TV.

Sales
Assist with PowerPoint presentations (News, Sports, Prime, Cross Media). Client contact list maintenance, trade maintenance, pull reports, proof orders for AE's, update media kits, update quarterly calendars and prime calendars, work at contest and promotional events, filing, ordering supplies, fall launch one sheets.

News
Assist the Producers and Reporters, write copy, make telephone calls, gather sound bites for newscasts and help in the preparation of newscasts (both AM & PM).

News
Help produce content for our website, research, writing, photos, video.

Production
Assist the Production crew and learn camera operation for our newscasts and possibly learn prompter. Also help with various other projects that may arise.
