Miss Dakota Rose seeking state title

Northern State University student Lauren Marshall, right, will compete for the honor of Miss South Dakota in Hot Springs in June. Marshall was crowned Miss Dakota Rose on March 25 by the current Miss South Dakota, Anna Simpson. Marshall is the daughter of Patti Marshall of Aberdeen. Marshall has a genetic disorder called PKU, or phenylketonuria. Her platform is PKU awareness.
