The Hoyas and the world meet Michael Jordan

With less than 20 seconds left in the 1982 NCAA championship game, 19-year-old freshman Michael Jordan hit a jump shot that lifted the North Carolina Tar Heels over the Georgetown Hoyas, 63-62. Jordan and his freshman opponent, Patrick Ewing, would go on to the NBA and the Hall of Fame. Above, Jordan and Georgetown's Ed Springs during the championship game.Associated Press
